Welcome to MBC Kids
In the book of Psalms it says “we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78). At Morley Baptist Church we have a passion to teach our children about the awesome God we serve. Our desire is to see them come to know Jesus as their saviour and to GROW in love for Him!
The song “Let the Children Come” by Hillsong says, “I’m not too small to know you Jesus, as my Lord”. How true this is! Even our littlest ones can know Jesus as their friend, protector and saviour. As a mum to four children, I am so aware of how precious these little ones are. We want to join with parents, families and our church community to raise our children in the ways of the Lord.
At MBC we endeavor to include children as important members of our church family. Children are encouraged to participate in the first part of our Sunday morning services with their family. Part way through the service our Starshiners, Sonshiners and Youth Bible study classes begin. These programs are specially designed for children aged from 4 years (or Kindy) to Year 12. A crèche is also offered during the morning service and a sound proofed ‘Babies Room’ is located at the rear of the auditorium, if parents require it.
Throughout the year, children are also encouraged to be a part of our Kids Services – MBC kids have used their gifts and talents for Jesus in many ways – from welcoming at the door, playing an instrument, collecting the offering and doing the sound system, to singing and leading the congregation in worship!
MBC also offers many other weekly kids programs including playgroups and Friday night ministries.
